Business & Site Deployments

Multi-user sites where the dish is only the start: PoE injection, outdoor access points and a switch that makes the network manageable.

On a business site the dish is rarely the constraint. A single Starlink link is fine for a small office; it stops being the constraint the moment you want guests, a yard, a workshop or a camera network on the same connection. That is where the accessory layer does the work: power injection over the Ethernet run, access points that cover the areas the dish cannot see, and switches that keep the whole thing manageable without a rack full of kit.

Most commercial users start with the same simple assumption: point the dish, plug it in, and they are online. But business connectivity has different priorities than residential or portable use. Uptime matters for operations, coverage needs to span multiple zones, and the network must support simultaneous users, IoT cameras, payment terminals and heavy workflow traffic all at once. The dish only delivers the incoming satellite connection; the surrounding hardware shapes whether that bandwidth reaches every corner reliably.

Poorly matched accessories create hidden bottlenecks. Long cable runs without proper PoE planning introduce voltage drop and unstable power for remote access points. Consumer-grade switches choke under concurrent connections, drop camera streams or cut out when multiple users stream and upload at the same time. Access points placed without signal planning leave dead zones in workshops, storage yards or outdoor guest areas, even when the Starlink dish itself has perfect signal.

PLZTECH’s business and site-focused accessory stack is built to extend and organise that satellite link, not just mount the dish. Our mounting hardware supports elevated, clear-line-of-sight placement for the dish, paired with weather-rated PoE injectors, managed compact switches and outdoor access point mounting brackets designed for site-wide distribution. Every component is selected for simple, maintainable deployment: no overcomplicated enterprise racks, no proprietary locked-down hardware, and clear paths to segregate guest Wi‑Fi, operational devices and security cameras.

These deployments also demand practical serviceability. Site managers and contract IT teams need hardware that is easy to diagnose, replace and expand as the business grows. A site might begin with basic office connectivity, then add security cameras, yard access points or remote worker terminals later on. The system should scale without tearing out and reworking the original installation.

For commercial sites, success is not just getting the dish online. It is turning one satellite internet feed into a stable, usable network across the whole location. The dish gets you the connection; the accessory ecosystem makes it useful for business.

Ce qui change dans ce scénario

What makes a business deployment different

  • Power has to travel. A PoE injector removes the need for a mains drop at the terminal and allows the dish to sit where the sky view is good rather than where the power is.
  • Coverage is the actual deliverable. An outdoor access point in an IP67 housing extends the network across a yard, a car park or a campground pitch area.
  • Single-cable runs. One Ethernet cable to the terminal is the difference between a tidy installation and a bundle of second cables.
  • Maintainability. Outdoor-rated kit in a cabinet needs a PoE switch that can be monitored rather than guessed at.
  • Power budget. Injection power and access point draw have to be planned together, not ordered separately.

Ce que vos clients vont demander

What to confirm before quoting a business bundle

  • How many simultaneous users and what they are doing — browsing, video, or cameras.
  • Coverage area and whether the buildings are indoor, outdoor or mixed.
  • Distance from the terminal to the switch, and whether a single Ethernet run is achievable.
  • PoE standard in use and the total power budget including any existing devices.
  • Cabinet or outdoor enclosure requirements, and its ingress rating.
  • Whether the site needs an uplink beyond Starlink, such as a 5.8 GHz bridge to a second location.
